Star City Brass Quintet has existed in several incarnations for nearly two decades. We are all local former pro and semi-pro musicians who have played together in many of the Roanoke and New River Valley area’s groups for many years.
From left to right in the above photo we are Elmore Falb (horn), Matt Lombard (trombone), Will Divers (tuba), Ric McClure (trumpet) and Lise’ Brinkley (trumpet).
We are available to provide music for several types of events:
- Church services
- Wedding ceremonies and receptions
- Graduations
- Private parties
- Corporate parties and receptions
- Public concerts and ceremonies
- School events
- Funerals
Our repertoire ranges from renaissance to rock. If we don’t have it currently in our book, we may be able to add it for your event. SCBQ can write or arrange tunes for special occasions, but this will involve a separate fee. We are fully acoustic (no amplification or electronics required), and can set up in a relatively small space.

As an auxiliary, we are also able to reconfigure with various combinations of instruments. If you are looking for a more mellow background sound, we can make several adjustments to instrumentation and music selection to accommodate.
